CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A crash involving multiple vehicles left at least one person injured and caused traffic disruptions on Interstate 15 in the Cajon Pass early Saturday morning.
The first call came in around 1:34am on August 14, 2026, of a traffic hazard in an unknown lane maybe the #2 or #3 lane about a mile before the Oak Hill Road exit on northbound I-15 Freeway.
Then around 1:52am a red Volkswagen Jetta sedan and a unknown silver sedan hit a gray Land Rover Discovery SUV that may have been disabled in the traffic lanes prior to the collision.
The collision caused debris to scatter across the freeway, prompting the CHP to issue a traffic break roughly 30 minutes while cleanup and help the injured people at the crash scene.
One person suffered non-life-threatening injuries and reported transported to a local hospital for evaluation.
We will update this story with more information when the CHP’s preliminary accident report is available. Additional details were limited at this time. This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, Inland Office.
