CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A driver was injured after a tire blowout caused a rollover crash on Interstate 15 in the Cajon Pass, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Officers and San Bernardino County Fire responded at about 8:08am August 17, 2026, of a single-vehicle rollover just after the truck escape ramp on I-15 Freeway in the Cajon Pass.
The black 4 door sedan was traveling southbound when one of the tires blew out. This caused the driver to lose control of the car, which rolled at one time before coming to rest upside down in the slow lane.
The driver was transported to a local hospital for minor injuries.
We will update this story with more information when the CHP’s preliminary accident report is available. Additional details were limited at this time. This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, Inland Office.
