HIGHLAND, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Brush fires burned about 10 acres next to Highway 330 Saturday afternoon in the San Bernardino National Forest.
The fire, Amber Fire, were burning in the same area as the Line Fire burn scar. The location near Hwy 330 next to mile marker 36 along City Creek Road in the mountains above the city of Highland.
The fire was in low to moderate brush. One significant factor in the slow rate of spread was the flames were in the Line Fire Burn Scar area that burned back in 2024.
Temperatures in the area were in the low 100s early Saturday afternoon.
No structures were immediately threatened in San Bernardino National Forest.
Details about a cause were not immediately available.
