LAKE ARROWHEAD, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A fire tore through a lumber yard in Lake Arrowhead Saturday afternoon
Fire crews responded to a lumber yard at 687 Hospital Road in Lake Arrowhead, for a report of a fire at 2:22pm on Saturday September 5, 2026. The area sits near the Mountain Community Hospital and next to MacKay Dog Park.
Mutual aid request was sent to the location, encountering wind-driven flames moving at a moderate rate through the thick lumber yard.
They called for two airtankers and three water dropping helicopters to help contain the fire in the yard. The fire did spot north of the lumber yard and burned 2 acres of brush.
Details about the fire cause is unknown at this time. The fire did start in yard.
