LLANO, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> The California Highway Patrol is investigating a fiery two-vehicle crash that left one vehicle fully engulfed in flames Saturday night on Highway 138 at Hwy 18.
California Highway Patrol traffic logs indicate a crash was reported shortly before 9:05pm September 19, 2026, on eastbound Hwy 138 at Hwy 18 interchange. All eastbound lanes were shut down but have since reopened.
Traffic logs state that two black vehicles crashed on the highway, with one of the vehicles was engulfed in flames.
With help from Good Samaritans all occupants were out of burning vehicle.
Three occupants were transported to Palmdale Regional Medical Center with significant injuries, not life-threatening injuries.
We will update this story with more information when the CHP’s preliminary accident report is available. Additional details were limited at this time. This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, Antelope Valley Office.
