HESPERIA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Two people killed in a crash of a small plane near the Hesperia Airport Thursday morning, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Office said.
The crash happened about 10am on September 24, 2026. Deputies arrived to find the plane nose down in the dirt.
San Bernardino County Fire Rescue arrived shortly after to make sure there was no fire.
The crash site is just south of Summit Valley Road and about two miles away from Hesperia Airport.
Two occupants in the plane – the pilot and one passenger – died from their injuries. Their identities have not yet been disclosed.
It looks like a 1950’s Cessna airplane. It’s unclear if the aircraft took off from Hesperia Airport or if the crash occurred during the descent.
The Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the crash.
