JEAN, NV. (Pain In The Pass) >> A solo-vehicle rollover crash Sunday morning on northbound Interstate 15 that killed a child and injured two people, according to the Nevada State Police.
NSP and fire and rescue were called around 6:21am October 4, 2026, on northbound I-15 near mile maker 21 in the town of Jean. The crash involved a dark color SUV, which rolled over multiple time in the center divider.
A child was ejected from the vehicle and landed in the southbound lanes, where the child was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The adult driver and another child were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.
The crash caused both northbound and southbound lanes to shut down for hours. Lanes are reopened has we post this story.
We will update this story with more information when the NSP’s preliminary accident report is available. Additional details were limited at this time. This incident will be under investigation by the Nevada State Police.
