CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> At least one person died in rollover collision that happened Sunday morning in the Cajon Pass, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The incident transpired around 5:51am on October 10, 2026, on or near Applewhite Road near Kennnbrook Rd. next to Cajon Boulevard old Route 66. The vehicle reportedly went 200 feet off the roadway down a cliff.
Details about the cause and manner of the collision were not available, a person was able to call authorities reporting that the vehicle went off the roadway from the 15 Freeway near Cleghorn Road exit.
San Bernardino County Fire were at the scene that was initially involved in a crash and one victim trapped inside the vehicle was removed and transport to a safe location by a CHP officer. Responding units were moved to a secondary location.
At least one person deceased at the scene, prompting a coroner representative to respond to the scene.
It was unclear if any other person was injured.
