BARSTOW, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A pursuit that began in the city of Barstow came to an end in a residential neighborhood in Paramount (Los Angeles County), Friday morning when the suspect crashed into a fence
The chase started before 8:30am when Barstow Police Department officers attempted to pull over a tan Mercedes Benz E 350 four door sedan. They were attempting to pull the vehicle over for speeding and they discovered that it had been reported stolen. The suspect entered southbound Interstate 15, went down the Cajon Pass, then jumped on westbound Interstate 10 toward Los Angeles.
The car exited the 10 freeway in the Norwalk area. The chase continued on surface streets. Minutes later the suspect crashed into a fence at the corner of El Camino Avenue and Mark Keppel Street in the city of Paramount. The suspect was able to get out and was taken into custody without incident.
