AFTON, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A Las Vegas resident Darrin Joseph Moore, 37, died as the result of injuries sustained in a single vehicle rollover crash. It happened on southbound Interstate 15 before Afton Road on Thursday morning, July 29, according to a preliminary crash report by the California Highway Patrol.
The crash was reported at around 2:59am. Thursday. Moore had been driving southbound along the Interstate when he exited the road to the right about 15 miles from Afton Road exit. He overcorrected and went airborne rolled over multiple times causing the driver to be ejected from the vehicle.
Despite life-saving rescue measures, officials said the driver was pronounced deceased at the scene. The investigation is ongoing. Those with information on the crash are encouraged you to call the CHP Barstow Office 760-255-5900.
