PHELAN, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> The San Bernardino County coroner’s office identified a pedestrian who died Tuesday September 20, 2022 as the result of injuries sustained in a collision in the Cajon Pass.
Dean Camero, a 55-year-old resident of Solvang of Southern California, was struck by a vehicle at 11:27pm on southbound Interstate 15 at the Cleghorn Road offramp. Camero was walking in the traffic lanes. When CHP arrived on the scene, they found Camero unresponsive in the offramp. With CPR efforts on scene failed, shortly after they pronounced him deceased at the scene.
It was reported the motorist involved in the incident did remain on the scene and was cooperating with investigators. For additional information contact the California Highway Patrol San Bernardino Office.
