RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A San Bernardino resident was struck and killed while he was running across Interstate 15.
California Highway Patrol said several witnesses described a pedestrian, identified as Brenton Herbertlad Henry, age 31 resident of San Bernardino, running across lanes. He was running on the northbound side of I-15 at the 4th Street exit, on Saturday about 8:17pm on December 23, 2023.
When CHP arrived on the scene, the male pedestrian was found unresponsive. Shortly after they pronounced Henry deceased at the scene.
The SUV that hit the pedestrian did stop on the freeway shoulder, near the scene and the driver did call 911. The driver did remain at the scene for questioning, according to the CHP traffic log.
They said it doesn’t appear this incident was caused by anything related to weather conditions, disabled vehicle, or construction.
This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, Rancho Cucamonga Office.
