BAKER, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Nine people have been taken to the hospital after a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 15 early Sunday morning.
California Highway Patrol said officers responded on southbound I-15 near the Halloran Springs Road exit about 4:55am on Sunday June 22, 2025. to investigate a major crash.
There, first responders found that two vehicles had been involved in a collision. One vehicle was reported to be a tan Toyota Sienna minivan and a black Honda Accord sedan. The Toyota van looks to be rear-ended at an unknown high speed by the Honda. The van rolled over mutiple times and the Honda came to a stop in the slow lane and right shoulder of the freeway.
The CHP traffic log stated, the driver of the Honda was drunk.
CHP and rescue crews need to closed all southbound lanes for three medical helicopter and multiple ground ambulances to the crash scene.
At least nine people were hurt in the crash. Three people needed to be airlifted from the scene to a local trauma center. A total of six ambulances were called to the scene, and have all been taken to a local hospital.
One of the helicopters were Mercy Air #7 that airlifted one person to University Medical Center of Southern Nevada.
San Bernardino County Fire didn’t specify the extent of the injuries suffered.
Lanes were reopened around 8am after the crash investigation.
