VICTORVILLE, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A fire burned about five acres of brush in the Mojave Riverbed on Sunday afternoon.
The fire broke out at around 3:37pm on July 20, 2025, next to the Frontage Road between Stoddard Wells Road and D Street in the Mojave River and called the Frontage Fire.
The fire burned about 5 acres of heavy brush and trees.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, according to Victorville Fire Department.
This is like the fifth or six brush fire to break out in the Mojave Riverbed in the past month or two.
