RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> This past week, the California Highway Patrol Rancho Cucamonga Area headed a Multi-Division Commercial SEU / Strike Force operation, bringing together CHP offices from the Inland, Southern, and Border Divisions.
This coordinated effort included two Commercial MRE units and officers from five Area offices, providing focused commercial enforcement coverage along the 60 Freeway from East Los Angeles to the San Gorgonio Pass.
Through strong teamwork and commitment, the operation delivered impactful results that directly enhance roadway safety for the motoring public.
Operation Results:
🔹 87 vehicle inspections
🔹 9 drivers placed out of service
🔹 26 vehicles placed out of service
🔹 1 vehicle impound
Enforcement Highlights:
• 58 mechanical violations
• 162 out-of-lane violations
• 30 unsafe speed violations
• 72 other moving violations
• 13 hours-of-service/logbook violations
• 12 registration violations
• 6 operating authority violations
• 7 cell phone violations
• 4 seat belt violations
• 11 non-emergency stop violations
• 4 driver license violations
Total: 342 commercial violations cited and 25 warnings issued.
