BAKER, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> One person was taken to the hospital, after a vehicle crossed over the median on Interstate 15 in Halloran Springs near the town of Baker, causing a fiery crash, authorities said.
California Highway Patrol said around 11am Wednesday January 7, 2026, officers and San Bernardino County Fire responded to a crash involving two vehicles on the southbound side of the 15 freeway.
The collision location happened on southbound I-15 freeway about two miles after the Halloran Springs Road exit. The two-vehicles involved was a white pickup truck and a white Honda CRV.
A witness stated said, the driver of the Honda was traveling northbound crossed over the center median onto the southbound side and collide with a white pickup truck.
The impact forced the Honda and the pickup truck off the roadway. The Honda caught fire and the pickup truck to overturned on its roof.
One person was transported by ground ambulance to University Medical Center of Southern Nevada.
The factors what lead up to the collision is unknown at this time.
