MOUNTAIN PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> The California Highway Patrol said there is an investigation into a death of a body was found in a vehicle off of Southbound Interstate 15 Friday Morning.
Around 11:30am on February 13, 2026, the CHP said they stop and checked on a abandoned vehicle parked on the Cima Road offramp of southbound I-15.
At least one body found in the vehicle.
CHP said on the CHP traffic log stated the investigated an apparent death by suicide.
We will update this story with more information when the CHP’s preliminary incident report is available. This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, Barstow Office.
