VICTORVILLE, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A 40-year-old San Bernardino man was killed Thursday morning after being struck by multiple vehicles on Highway 395, authorities said
The incident happened on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at about 2:10am, deputies from the Victorville Police station, along with Victorville Fire Department and American Medical Response personnel responded to the area of Highway 395 and Sycamore Street for a vehicle that collided with a pedestrian.
The preliminary investigation revealed Joseph Scott Dragon was walking in lanes of northbound traffic on Hwy 395, south of Sycamore Street. A White Ford Pickup truck, the driver was traveling north, on Hwy 395, towards Sycamore Street, and struck pedestrian south of the intersection. Several other vehicles collided with the pedestrian after the initial crash.
Sadly, Joseph Scott Dragon sustained major injuries and was pronounced deceased on scene.
The pickup truck driver stopped on scene and cooperated with the investigation. Members of the Major Accident Investigation Team responded to the scene and assumed the investigation.
