HIGH DESERT, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A Wind Advisory for Thursday into Friday. A Gusty Wind Event is for the mountains, Victor/Apple Valley, Lucerne Valley, and the Mojave Desert locations.
This could create hazardous driving conditions and areas of blowing dust for the high desert and in the mountains.
The Southern California Weather Force has issued a Wind Advisory for the high deserts and the mountain areas. With winds blowing around from the west southwest direction at 30-40+ mph in the Victor/Apple Valley area. Parts of the Barstow area will have 40-50+ mph winds. Lucerne Valley area will have 30-40+ mph winds. Mountains will have gust 30-40+ mph. Stateline/Primm/Las Vegas NV will have 30-40+ mph winds. Max wind gust will be 50+ mph in spots.
Potential for hazardous crosswinds and blowing dust on Interstate 15 from the top of the Cajon Pass through Las Vegas NV as well as other roadways in the desert.
Also secure all outdoor stuff like chairs, BBQ, and other outdoor decorations.
This Wind Advisory should expire by Friday morning. New Wind Advisory on Thursday night and Friday for the Cajon Pass IE area with gust up to 60+mph.
