CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> The 79-year-old man who died while riding a motorcycle on southbound Interstate 15 in the Cajon Pass has been identified, according to the coroner’s report.
The San Bernardino County Coroner confirmed that Raymond Ramos, from Claremont was riding on his motorcycle around 7:31am August 27, 2026, on southbound 15 Freeway near Cleghorn Road in front of the old weight station.
For unknown reasons, the motorcycle struck the right shoulder guardrail and Ramos was thrown onto the ground landed in the slow lane. The motorcycle continued to travel down without the rider on it and crashed in the center median wall about 400 feet away from Ramos.
Sadly, Ramos was deceased at the scene with major injuries, authorities said.
