NEWBERRY SPRINGS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A 37-year-old female has been ID after California Highway Patrol found her in her vehicle on an off-ramp of southbound Interstate 15 last month.
The incident was reported around 9:48pm on Monday August 24, 2026, on southbound Interstate 15 at the Fields Road offramp.
Hsin-Ju Chuang, a 37-year-old resident of North Las Vegas, Nevada was found the deceased inside the vehicle after breaking a window to gain entry.
At this time the San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office is waiting for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
We will update this story with more information when the CHP’s preliminary incident report is available. This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, Barstow Office.
