HARVARD, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Three people were airlifted to the hospital when a semi tractor-trailer crashed into their sedan that was stopped or crash in lanes on northbound 15 Freeway early Tuesday morning.
The crash was reported at 2:21am on October 6, 2026, on the northbound lanes of the 15 freeway about two miles before the Field Road exit, according to California Highway Patrol officers and the San Bernardino County Fire Department.
Firefighters said three people were inside of the sedan and one had to be extricated from their severely damaged vehicle. A female was able to get out of the vehicle, a baby was reported to be ejected from the vehicle, and reported to be unharmed.
A male was able to get out after firefighter help him to get out of the vehicle.
Rescue crews called for at least three medical helicopters to land at the crash scene. The San Bernardino County Fire Department established a landing zone for one medical helicopter to land on the freeway.
One of the Mercy Air helicopters transported from Barstow Community Hospital to Loma Linda University Medical Center. The other Mercy Air helicopter transported from the scene to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. All three from the vehicle were airlifted.
The semi driver was able to get out and was reported to have minor injuries.
The responding agencies did not release any information or what condition they are in.
At this time from the CHP traffic log stated a vehicle rolled over and a semi-truck hit the vehicle and the semi rolled over on its side in the center median. The vehicle could have rolled over first, then the semi crash into him.
