California Highway Patrol and the Apple Valley City Fire Department firefighters were getting calls of a vehicle on fire on southbound Interstate 15 just after Dale Evans Parkway exit. The vehicle fire was reported about 12:34pm on August 10, 2024, with flames coming from the engine compartment.

California Highway Patrol and firefighters were on the scene to work on getting the vehicle fire put out. They had to temporary shut down the slow lane.

The vehicle was reported to be a unknown SUV. Everybody did escape the vehicle before it became fully engulfed. No injuries were reported at the scene. The cause of the vehicle fire is unknown at this time.
