SAN BERNARDINO, CA (Pain In The Pass) >> A pedestrian on the 215 Freeway in San Bernardino riding his bicycle on the northbound side in the center divider just before Orange Show Road.

From reports from the CHP traffic log on 6:16pm Wednesday evening. The pedestrian for unknown reasons was jumping back and forth in the center divider onto northbound and southbound lanes.

Then from unknown reasons, he was struck in the southbound lanes by a vehicle and his body landed on the HOV and the fast lanes.

A SIG Alert was issued and traffic was backup for about three miles.

Victim in the vehicle that hit the man did stop.

The pedestrian was transported by AMR to Loma Linda University Hospital with unknown injuries.

The accident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol Inland San Bernardino office.

CHP says additional information will be updated as it becomes available.
