VICTORVILLE, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> California Highway Patrol and San Bernardino County Sheriff’s were in a high Speed pursuit around 1pm Monday afternoon on May 4th 2020. The pursuit ended in a small standoff, then the suspect was detained.

The suspect was driving a green Chevrolet Silverado pick-up truck.

The chase was triggered when Barstow Police Department attempted to conduct a traffic stop.

He drove down and back up the Cajon Pass on Interstate 15 around 1:30pm.

The truck hit a spike strip when he was driving up the Cajon Pass before Oak Hill Rd. Minutes later he had a flat front tire that he was driving on for miles.

The suspect was driving on northbound 15 he got off the freeway at Bear Valley Road made a right, went through parts of Hesperia, and Victorville Monday afternoon.

The vehicle came to stop in a neighborhood in Spring Valley Lake in Victorville just before 2pm. Then in a standoff inside his truck.

There was several police cars surrounding him and officers were seen with drawn weapons.

At 2:43pm San Bernardino County Sheriffs Swat team has arrived. Suspect vehicle was pinned.

The suspect was in custody at 3pm.
