SAN BERNARDINO, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A pedestrian was struck and killed in a motor vehicle collision on northbound Interstate 215 at the Palm Ave/Kendall Dr. exit.

According to the California Highway Patrol Traffic Log calls were received at 5:41am Wednesday morning. A pedestrian had been hit on the 215 freeway in the north-end of San Bernardino on May 20, 2020.

When CHP arrived on the scene, a pedestrian was found unresponsive. Shortly after they pronounced the pedestrian deceased at the scene.

The vehicle that hit the pedestrian was a big rig semi with front end and side damage and did stop on the freeway and the driver did call 911. The driver did remain on the scene for questioning, according to the CHP.

CHP officials said that drugs or alcohol are not suspected to be a factor in this accident.

Also the driver was not found to be at fault, there is no plan to file charges.

This accident is currently under investigation by the California Highway Patrol San Bernardino Inland Office. Anyone with information regarding the accident is asked to call (909) 383-4247.
