CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A four vehicle crash with one vehicle that rolled over in the Cajon Pass on Interstate 15. The accident caused a major traffic delay late Tuesday morning.

The multiple car accident was reported at 10:40am on Tuesday May 19, 2020. All four vehicles were driving on the southbound Interstate 15, in the Cajon Pass about two mile before Kenwood Avenue.

The four vehicles involved in the accident were a Chevy Tahoe, a Dodge Dakota pickup truck, Chevy Malibu and a big rig semi.

California Highway Patrol and San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to the incident and reported there were no injures at the scene.

The accident temporarily blocked the two left lanes as they worked to move the two vehicles off of the freeway.

From a witness: a white van with plate number PWN573 unknown state caused the traffic accident. The van reportedly had boxes of toilet paper on top of the van. The boxes fell off then vehicle swerved behind him and lost control. The Tahoe lost control then rolled-over and the passing Dodge crashed into the Tahoe. The van didn’t stop and continued driving southbound on the Interstate.

This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol Inland Office.

CHP says additional information will be updated as it becomes available.
