PINON HILLS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A big rig semi-trailer hauling carrots overturned spilling it load all over the Highway at 6:44pm Monday evening May 18, 2020 according to the California Highway Patrol.

The spilled carrots were on Highway 138 between Mountain Road and Oasis Road in Pinon Hills.

California Highway Patrol responded to the incident of a single trailer rollover on its side.

The vehicle involved was a big rig with a set of doubles and the company was reported to be Young Trucking.

The big rig driver was able to move to the shoulder of the highway.  His second trailer overturned and spilling thousands of pounds of carrots all over Highway 138.

Caltrans needed to respond to the scene to clean up the carrots.

No injuries were report or no other vehicles were involved.

A Pain In The Pass member Serena C. witnessed the accident. She said the truck driver was avoiding running the red light, hit his brakes started to skid then his rear trailer tipped over on its side and spilled the load of carrots onto the Highway.

This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol Victorville Office.

CHP says additional information will be updated as it becomes available.
