DAGGETT, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Sig Alert was issued Wednesday morning for the eastbound Interstate 40 freeway after a big rig rolled over on its side into the center median, according to California Highway Patrol.

The big rig semi was headed east on the Interstate 40 Freeway when the crash occurred at 11:47 pm Tuesday July 14, 2020. It happened just after Hidden Springs Road in the town of Daggett.

California Highway Patrol and San Bernardino Fire Department responded to the incident. From reports from the CHP traffic log, the big rig lost control, overturned on its side in the center median. (xanax) The crash blocked the fast lane for hours.

A Sig Alert was issued for the eastbound lanes at 12:13am.

CHP and Caltrans were there over night/morning to handle the cleanup and the off loading of produce inside the trailer.

The cause of the accident is unknown at this time.

No injuries were reported.

This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol Inland Barstow Office.

CHP says additional information will be updated as it becomes available.
