MOUNTAIN PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A fatal rollover accident with multiple vehicles along Interstate 15 cause major traffic coming or going to Stateline/Vegas area. Two vehicles rolled over and four other vehicles involved.

California Highway Patrol and firefighters from San Bernardino County and Clark County Fire Department responded to the traffic accident.

The accident happened on the southbound I-15 side at 2:46pm Friday July 24, 2020. Located in both northbound and southbound fast lanes and in the center divider between Bailey Road and Cima Road.

A total of two people were ejected from there vehicle. One person was pronounced deceased at the scene in the southbound fast lane. The other person was flown out by medvac helicopter to a local trauma hospital with life threatening injuries. Two small children were also transported by medvac helicopters to the hospital with unknown conditions. 

Three other people had major injuries and were transported by ground ambulances from the scene to a local hospital.

The cause of the six vehicle accident with two that rolled over is unknown at this time.

This accident is currently under investigation by the California Highway Patrol Barstow Office.

CHP says additional information will be updated as it becomes available.

UPDATE the driver has been ID as Tyrese Arnold, a 21-year-old resident of Bakersfield.
