CAJON PASS, CA (Pain In The Pass) >> A car caught fire on northbound Interstate 15 Freeway in the Cajon Pass Wednesday evening.

California Highway Patrol and San Bernardino County Fire Department were getting calls of a black Toyota Camry on fire. About 2 miles before Oak Hill Road at 6:21pm Wednesday, July 29, 2020.

CHP and firefighters were on the scene and had to temporarily shut down the fast lane while they worked to make sure the vehicle fire was put out.

The driver and passengers did escape the vehicle.

Multiple Good Samaritans did stop and help extinguish the flames by using a fire extinguisher before firefighter were on scene.

No injuries were reported at the scene.

The cause of the vehicle fire is unknown at this time.

This incident could have caused a second brush fire in the Cajon Pass today. Glad to say they quickly put it out.
