CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A multiple vehicle accident was reported on Interstate 15 in the Cajon Pass Thursday evening.

California Highway Patrol and San Bernardino County Fire Department received calls of a black vehicle that lost control, ran into the back of a moving big rig and hit two more vehicles.

The crash occurred at about 6:22pm Thursday, July 30, 2020. The accident blocked the two left northbound 15 lanes about a half mile from Oak Hill Road exit for the cleanup of debris and to remove the smashed car.

From Peter Brown a Pain In The Pass Facebook Group witness, the black Toyota was traveling at a high rate of speed. Driving in the #4 lane weaving in and out of slow lane. When the driver lost control, veered into the back of the moving big rig trailer. The Toyota spun out, lost a front wheel and was disabled in the #1 and #2 lanes. Two other vehicles were involved in the crash.

There were no injuries reported in the crash.

This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol Inland Office.

CHP said additional information will be updated as it becomes available.
