CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Rollover crash briefly closes left lanes just after Kenwood Avenue on northbound 15 in the Cajon Pass.
California Highway Patrol and San Bernardino Fire Department received calls of a three vehicle crash with one vehicle that had rolled over. One of the vehicles involved was a white Ford Ranger pickup truck, that landed on its side. The other two vehicles were not described on the CHP traffic log.
The crash was on northbound Interstate 15 just after the Kenwood Ave. exit. The crash happened about 7:07pm Friday, January 22, 2020.
Before CHP and firefighters responded to the scene, one person was reported to be trapped inside the pickup and it was on fire. Good Samaritans were able to free the driver.
Rain was falling in the Cajon Pass and may have been a factor in the crash.
The driver of the pickup truck was reported to be okay.
This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol San Bernardino Office.
CHP says additional information will be updated as it becomes available.
