HESPERIA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> One person was injured in a two vehicle crash. Both vehicles ended up in the center divider with one vehicle that rolled over.

California Highway Patrol and San Bernardino Fire Department received calls of a two vehicle crash with one vehicle has rolled over. The vehicles involved were a white Chevy Cruze and a white Chevy Suburban that rolled-over multiple times. The Suburban landed on it’s roof, both vehicles were in the center divider of the Interstate 15.

The crash was on northbound Interstate 15 just after Joshura Street/Highway 395 exit. The crash happened about 3:30pm Thursday, January 21, 2020.

When CHP and firefighters responded to the scene, they located one person trapped inside the Suburban. Firefighters also requested a medical helicopter to transport the driver to a local hospital.

The medical helicopter landed nearby, Reach Air Medical air ambulance  #13 airlifted the driver to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. The driver condition was unknown at this time.

The driver of the Chevy Cruze was reported to be okay with minor injuries.

A witness stated both vehicles were racing at high speeds prior to the crash. The Suburban may have blown a rear tire and then lost control and crashed into the car.

This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol Victorville Office.

CHP says additional information will be updated as it becomes available.
