CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A car caught fire on northbound Interstate 15 Freeway in the Cajon Pass Tuesday night
California Highway Patrol and San Bernardino County Fire Department were getting calls of a vehicle on fire in the center divider. The car was about a mile from Oak Hills Road exit at 7:45pm on Tuesday night February 16, 2021.
California Highway Patrol and firefighters were on the scene and had to temporarily shut down all northbound lanes from about 20 minutes. After that they blocked the #1 and #2 lanes while they worked on getting the vehicle fire put out.
CHP issued a SIG Alert for the #1 and #2 lanes due to the clean up and removal of the car.
Everybody did escape the vehicle before it became fully engulfed.
No injuries were reported at the scene.
The cause of the vehicle fire is unknown at this time.
