CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> California Highway Patrol responded to a three-vehicle accident Monday evening in the Cajon Pass. The accident, which involved a large box truck and two other vehicles, left one person injured, the injuries are believed to be minor.
California Highway Patrol and San Bernardino Fire Department received calls of crash about 6:55pm Monday June 7, 2021. It occurred northbound Interstate 15 about a mile and a half before Oak Hill Road exit. The vehicles involved in the crash were reported to be a white Ford sedan, a white large box truck and an unknown vehicle.
From what the CHP traffic log stated the white Ford rear-ended the box truck. After the crash for unknown reasons, the Ford rolled down the traffic lanes into the center divider blocking the fast lane. CHP blocked the fast lane for a little over an hour for a tow truck to pick up the car. Traffic was backedup for miles do to the crash.
This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol San Bernardino Office. CHP says additional information will be updated as it becomes available.
