DEVORE, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A trailer full of almonds catches fire on southbound Interstate 215 Friday morning.
California Highway Patrol, CAL FIRE, and San Bernardino County Fire Department were getting calls of a big rig trailer on fire about 8:30am, Friday on July 9, 2021. The big rig stop on the right shoulder of the freeway about one mile away from Devore Road.
According to the CHP traffic logs, the flames was coming from the rear breaks on the trailer. The driver did escape the big rig before the trailer became fully engulfed. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time. From reports the trailer was full of almonds.
SIG Alert was issued for the slow lane at 9am and no estimated time for reopening of closure.
