CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> An investigation is underway after California Highway Patrol found a driver dead inside the driver seat along a busy part of the Cajon Pass Friday morning. 

Around 11:17am on Friday, August 6, 2021 the California Highway Patrol along with San Bernardino County Fire Department rushed to the seen. Northbound Interstate 15 just before Kenwood Avenue exit, after reports of a big rig parked on the shoulder of the freeway. 

When authorities arrived to the scene, they found the passenger side door was unlocked the driver passed out and unresponsive in the sleeper cab. Minutes later they pronounced the driver deceased at the scene before 11:30am. Authorities have yet to share the identity of the driver. Very limited details are available at this time, CHP has not released further details surrounding this incident. While there have been no updates, the investigation remains active and is listed as an unclassified death at this time.

Update on the incident CHP said no obvious signs of trauma and no foul play is suspected.
