HESPERIA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Just after 1:30pm Thursday afternoon San Bernardino County Fire crews responded to a vegetation fire near the railroad tracks off of Summit Valley Road.
This fire was reported about 1:43pm Thursday, September 9, 2021. With help from San Bernardino National Forest and Cal Fire firefighters were quickly were on scene and extinguish the flames. The blaze was burning at a slow rate of spread as structures in the area were threatened at one point.

Aircraft was canceled due to weather in the area. The fire was stopped and the size was about 2 and a half acres burned. No structures were damaged. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
