CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Authorities are investigating a hit-and-run crash Saturday afternoon on Interstate 15 in the Cajon Pass.

California Highway Patrol and firefighters from San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to the multi-vehicle traffic accident. The first crash was reported at about 1:45pm, Saturday November 13, 2021. The crash location was on southbound Interstate 15 about two miles after the Oak Hill Road exit. It was reported to be a hit-and-run crash with three vehicles involved in the crash.

Witnesses said a white pick-up truck pulling a green tent trailer collided with a blue Dodge Charger and a dark grey Honda Civic. Both cars were sent off the freeway down the right side embankment and became stuck. The pickup driver, got out to look at the truck and trailer. The suspect dropped the trailer off the right side of the freeway, then fled the scene southbound, CHP officials said. No major injuries were reported at the scene.

At this point we don’t have any witnesses with a description of the driver or a license plate on the truck. CHP investigators were seeking any video or witnesses to come forward. Anyone with information that can help investigators is asked to call the CHP Inland Office at (909) 806-2400. The incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol Inland Office. CHP says additional information will be updated as it becomes available. Additional details were limited at this time.
