HESPERIA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Sitting in traffic on a busy Tuesday morning is not ideal for some driver. People bustling to get to their respective workplaces down the hill, you don’t want to be stuck in a traffic jam. With the roadwork schedule each night however, traffic is exactly what these drivers must sit through.

Recently, the roadwork has not been causing too many problems for drivers on northbound and southbound Interstate 15 from the top of the Cajon Pass to Victorville last week, beyond just everyday morning traffic (rush hour).

Roadwork was supposed to end at 4am Tuesday morning and it ended after 5am. This caused a traffic jam because one lane was only open.

Roadwork will begin Tuesday night, so expect delays again in the morning and the rest of the week and so on. Traffic was backedup at one point to Bear Valley Road this morning. Some people were sitting in traffic for over an hour+.

The work schedule will be subject to change due to weather or construction-related issues. Always reduce your speed through the work zone. Caltrans expects to complete the project by the end of November 2022.
