HESPERIA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A 61-year-old Victorville female has been identified as the victim of a fatal rollover vehicle crash.
Karen Young was killed in a rollover crash that happened at about 12:30pm, on Tuesday November 23, 2021. They were traveling northbound Interstate 15 about a mile before Bear Valley exit. The driver was ejected from the gold GMC Yukon SUV. Karen was pronounced deceased on scene by CHP on the right shoulder of the freeway. CHP officials said the woman was not wearing a seatbelt. The passenger was wearing his seatbelt and only had minor injuries.
The solo vehicle involved was a gold-colored GMC Yukon SUV. The GMC was traveling north on Interstate 15 when for an unknown reason they lost control and rolled into the right shoulder/ditch and landed partly on Mariposa Road.
This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol Victorville Office. CHP says additional information will be updated as it becomes available.
