VICTORVILLE, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A suspect was arrested Thursday morning after GPS tracking in a stolen big rig led California Highway Patrol to the vehicle.
At approximately 7:18am Thursday February 3, 2022, that the owner reported his big rig was stolen out of the Los Angeles area. The big rig was being tracked by the owner. The GPS technology in the truck and assistance by the CHP officers located the big rig going northbound on Interstate 15 in the Cajon Pass.
At 7:25am the big rig was traveling north on I-15 through the Hesperia and Victorville area. With the assistance of Inland Divisions Air Operations CHP80 helicopter and with multiple CHP units. The big rig was stopped on Interstate 15 at the Stoddard Wells Road off-ramp.
The suspect was taken into custody without incident. The owner of the big rig responded to the scene and took possession of the vehicle.
Think twice before taking a big rig, you cant outrun a GPS.
