New Longer Deceleration Off Ramp On Southbound Interstate 15 To Hwy 138 Is About To Start

CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will soon begin work on a $ 4.2 million project to extend the deceleration lane (offramp) on the southbound Interstate 15 Highway 138 at the Cajon Junction in the middle of the Cajon Pass.

The project was awarded to Security Paving Inc., of Ontario. Crews will be working from 0.1 miles north of the I-15/Hwy 138 separation on the southbound I-15.

Expect one lane and ramp closures approaching and within the construction zone with possible detours to be determined.

The project is expected to be completed in the Summer of 2022. Remember to reduce your speed in and surrounding the work zone. Be advised, the weather may affect this operation.
