HESPERIA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> An overturned big rig spilled its contents and caused traffic delays on southbound Interstate 15.
The crash was reported at about 6:44am Monday April 4, 2022. Located on southbound I-15 about a mile before Main Street exit. California Highway Patrol and San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to the crash.
For reasons still unknown, the big rig was hauling sheets of drywall, went off the freeway into the drainage ditch, on the right shoulder of the freeway. That caused the big rig and trailer to overturn onto its side.
Only the driver reported to have minor injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital. The passenger wasn’t injured.
Update from CHP, The driver experienced a mechanical malfunction which resulted in the big rig leaving the roadway, overturning into a drainage culvert.
No further details have been provided at this time. This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol Victorville Office. Please check for updates on this incident.
