BARSTOW, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A High Wind Warning for Saturday morning April 16, 2022 until late Saturday night. A Strong Wind Event for the Victor Valley and Mojave Desert locations, mountains and the top of the Cajon Pass.
Southern California Weather Force Weather Service has issued a High Wind Warning and a Wind Advisory for San Bernardino County mountains and the high desert. With winds blowing around 40-50 mph with max wind gust at 60+ mph at times
HIGH WIND WARNING: from the Barstow area (Mojave Desert) up to Las Vegas area. Gust up to 60+mph.
WIND ADVISORY: for the Victor Valley area and the mountains area. Gust up to 40+ mph.
Hazardous driving conditions are possible, especially on the 15 freeway from the top of the Cajon Pass to the Las Vegas area due to blowing dust. Highway 395 will be bad also.
Damaging wind gusts could and will blow down trees and power lines.
Those in the wind areas should secure loose items including trash cans, BBQ, patio furniture, and trampolines so they don’t blown away.
