CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> One person was injured after a driver reportedly was speeding, hit a semi then crashed into the brush on the right shoulder of southbound Interstate 15 Friday afternoon.

California Highway Patrol and San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to the traffic collision involving four vehicles. The accident was reported at 12:33pm, Friday June 3, 2022. The crash location was about two mile before Highway 138 exit on southbound I-15. The four vehicles that were involved in the collision were two big rigs, a sliver Nissan Altima and a black Ford pickup truck.

From reports the CHP traffic log stated the driver of the Nissan were speeding at high speeds and driving reckless prior to the collision.

A witness stated the Nissan cut in front of a big rig and may have hit the big rig. The driver lost control and went off the right shoulder of the freeway, landing in some bushes.

Emergency crews said the driver of the Nissan had minor injuries and was transported by ambulance to a local hospital. The driver of the pickup and both big rigs were not injured. The incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol Inland Office. CHP said additional information will be updated as it becomes available. Details were limited at this time.
