FONTANA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> No injures were reported when a car crashed into the back of a semi tractor-trailer on the northbound Interstate 15 in Fontana Tuesday afternoon.

California Highway Patrol said a car slammed into the back of a moving tractor trailer. Both were traveling on northbound Interstate 15 about a mile before the Sierra Avenue offramp. The crash was reported at about 3:39am Tuesday July 26, 2022. The vehicles involved were a black 2020 Infiniti Q50 sedan with major front passenger side damage. The other vehicle was a semi pulling a trailer with damage to the mansfield safety bar and to the rear axles on the trailer.

The driver of the black car who struck the rear end of the parked semi tractor trailer on the right shoulder was speeding at an unknown high speed. No injures were reported at the scene.

Traffic was jammed for over 6 miles due to the vehicle blocking 3 of the 4 lanes of traffic. Lanes were reopened by 4:30pm.

The incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol Rancho Cucamonga Office. CHP said additional information will be updated as it becomes available. Additional details were limited at this time.
