OAK HILLS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A driver was injured in a two-vehicle crash at the top of the Cajon Pass on Interstate 15 Tuesday afternoon.
California Highway Patrol and San Bernardino County Fire Department received calls of a blue Porsche Panamera sedan in the back of a white Ford F-250 pickup truck just before Oak Hill Road exit on northbound Interstate 15.
The crash was reported at about 1:43pm Tuesday August 2, 2022. The driver of the blue car who struck the rear end of the pickup truck may have been speeding at an unknown high speed.
Emergency crews said two people were in the blue car with major front end damage. The passenger was able to get out with no injuries. The driver had minor injuries and was transported by ambulance to a local hospital. No other people were injuries. The incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol Inland Office. CHP said additional information will be updated as it becomes available. Details were limited at this time.
Traffic was jammed for over 5 miles due to the vehicle blocking the #1 and the #2 lanes of traffic. Lanes were reopened by 2:40pm.
