PHELAN, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> One person is killed in a fatal crash on Highway 138 near Mormon Rocks Wednesday evening.
California Highway Patrol and firefighters from San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to the traffic accident. The crash happened at about 4:54pm on Wednesday August 24, 2022. The vehicles involved in the crash were a Honda Accord sedan, a white Ford Fiesta sedan, a pickup truck upside down and an Oldsmobile sedan according to the CHP traffic log.
Despite life-saving rescue measures, firefighters and CHP officials said one person was pronounced deceased at the scene. Two people suffered injuries from the collision and both were taken to a local hospital.
The highway patrol suspects speed was a factor in the crash, not weather.
